TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Kiwisun Battersea Ltd, trading as Pure Tanning. By booking tanning sessions, purchasing products, accessing our facilities, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you should not use our services.
2. Age Restrictions
- UV tanning services are strictly available to individuals aged 18 years and over.
- Valid photographic identification may be requested at any time to verify a client's age. We reserve the right to refuse service where satisfactory proof of age cannot be provided.
3. Health and Safety
- Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit to use UV tanning equipment. If you have any medical condition, sensitive skin, are taking medication, or have concerns regarding UV exposure, you should seek advice from a healthcare professional before tanning.
- Clients must inform a member of staff of any allergies, medications, skin conditions, or other relevant health concerns before commencing a tanning session.
- We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service where we believe the use of our equipment may pose a risk to a client's health, safety, or wellbeing.
- Protect your eyes. Never use UV tanning equipment without suitable protective eyewear. Failure to wear appropriate eye protection may result in eye irritation or conjunctivitis in the short term, and cataracts (clouding of the lens of the eye) in the long term.
- Individuals with Skin Type I are unlikely to tan and are therefore advised not to use UV tanning treatments.
- Do not sunbathe outdoors on the same day as using a sunbed.
- Allow a minimum of 24 hours between tanning sessions.
- If you notice any lumps, sores, unusual moles, or other changes to your skin, you should consult your doctor without delay.
- European Standards recommend that individuals do not exceed 60 tanning sessions per year.
- Guidance issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) recommends that individuals do not exceed 20 tanning sessions per year and that a four-week break is taken between tanning courses.
- To help maintain a longer-lasting tan and support skin hydration, we recommend the regular use of suitable moisturising and aftercare products.
- Exposure to UV radiation may increase the risk of premature skin ageing, skin damage, and skin cancer. Clients should always follow recommended exposure times and staff guidance.
4. Refund and Cancellation Policy
- All sales are final. Refunds will not be provided for services rendered or products purchased, except where required under applicable consumer protection legislation.
- Any concerns regarding products or services should be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible so that we may investigate and, where appropriate, seek to resolve the matter.
5. Liability
- Clients use our facilities and services at their own risk.
- We accept no responsibility for adverse reactions, overexposure, burns, or skin conditions arising from the use of UV tanning equipment where clients have failed to follow safety guidance, disclosed inaccurate information, or exceeded recommended usage.
- We are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought onto our premises.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
6. Acceptance
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
